Can this really be the UK?

We are all getting down in the dumps about where we CAN'T GO - let's focus on where we can go.....starting with the amazing beaches that the UK has to offer. Here we go!

Pentle Bay, Scilly Isles

How is this even possible? YES, this really is in the UK (although you have to get a boat across to the island). Located on the eastern coast of the island of Tresco you can find this beautiful slice with its white sands and turquoise waters.

Oddicombe Beach, Torquay

This is one of the top 3 in Torquay & Devon according to the people that know stuff. This beach has a LOT going on - a cafe, trampolining, a beach shop, motorboat, kayak and pedalo and deck chair hire so as you can imagine, this beach gets extremely busy in the Summer but worth a visit if you get out of bed early in the morning or fancy an early evening stroll. Or go and STAKE your ground early to get a good spot.

Barafundle Beach, Pembrokeshire Wales

A half a mile walk away from the car park but certainly worth getting your steps in for! Crystal clear waters and golden sand between your toes. There are not any facilities on the beach so its rarely crowded (only in the very height of Summer) but don't hold us to that after the year that we've all had, we can imagine people being there right now regardless of the weather!

Durdle Door Beach, Dorset

Everyone has seen this stunning picture! AND it's real AND it's in the UK! This is Dorsets most famous landmark and with its sand and shingle beach people flock to see it from all over. Certainly, a must-visit this year.

Porthcurno Beach, Cornwall

Located in the far west of Cornwall, this beach has won so many awards and we can see why. With its soft white sand and a sea that turns turquoise in the sun, it really is one of the UK's most amazing natural beauties.

If you cant get out to the coast......why not check out London's own "hidden beach"! Check out the blog here!

Now.....where would you go first?
