'Chefs At Home' Cookbook

Updated: Feb 25, 2021

An exciting new cookbook has launched this week and you need to get it!

It's no secret that the hospitality industry has been devastated by the pandemic with many restaurants, bars, events and other entertainment venues being the first to close and will likely be the last to reopen. Inbetween lockdowns they have only been left with uncertainty as to whether it is safe to open or not with the everchanging rules and restriction in place. It has not been an easy ride and it continues to have a devastating effect on job losses and business closures with no immediate end date in sight.

"Hospitality Action" is a charity helping those in the industry to get back on their feet after a setback and in this case, they have been dealt a rather huge challenge so they are working harder than ever to reach everyone in need.

They began in 1837 as a way of offering help to those workers who needed financial, physical or psychological support services. They help with everything from addiction to mortgages and have had to step up massively recently to be leading support for individuals facing poor mental health related to covid-19.

Hospitality is an industry full of fighters, so there has been a lot of support and campaigning to protect jobs and businesses and everyone has come together to show their appreciation. You may have noticed back when the lockdown was briefly lifted and some restaurants were able to reopen, that they had introduced a new side option to their menus. 'Invisible Chips' were popping up for you to add to your order and this was a charity donation to help hospitality workers whose livelihoods are disappearing. This was an effort made by the Hospitality Action Charity, which had huge support from famous chefs and we expect this to continue when restaurants reopen again.

The book 'Chefs At Home' contains 54 of the industries best chefs pictured above and their lockdown recipes. There is a real varied selection as each chef has picked one delicious family recipe to share, so you can expect a mix of brunches, veggie, desserts and all sorts. Examples to expect include Gordon Ramsay's lockdown banana bread and Tom Kerridge's fish finger sandwich (with added monster munch), we are intrigued.

The book is now available to pre-order online ahead of its release date which will be the 18th March 2021 and 100% of the royalties goes to the charity. To support Hospitality Action in their efforts as a charity, you can click the link below to buy the cookbook for only £19.49!
