PG Tips Go Fully Plant-Based With Sustainable Tea Bags

Now, this is GOOD.....no no....GREAT NEWS!

PG Tips have made their entire range of tea bags 100% biodegradable.

They have been working hard over the past few years to get to this very point and they've done it.

Teabags are consumed massively and in the UK we use 9 billion of the PG Tips brand alone so now they have made the big sustainable swap we can enjoy a nice warm cup of guilt-free tea.

The famous pyramid-shaped bags are mainly made out of paper and use plastic to glue the sides together which is where the issue lay. The team have created an alternative material made from plants to use instead which is why they can now guarantee the bags are biodegradable and means they can be broken down by microorganisms from the earth.

They are currently still rolling out their branding for the biodegradable packaging but the company confirm online that all their tea bags are now plant-based and if you drink another brand and are not too sure, you can check information as of the manufacturer's websites as to whether or not they are sustainable.

Enjoy your brew!
